Fertility Reduces With Age

The peak reproductive years for a woman are between her late teens and late 20s. Fertility, or the ability to get pregnant will start to reduce after the age of 30. This reduction in fertility becomes more rapid as you get older. By the age of 45, the chances of a woman getting pregnant naturally are close to zero.

This reduction in fertility is mirrored in a comparable steady increase in the hormone FSH (follicle stimulating hormone). Growing levels of FSH are associated with lowered fertility. The FSH hormone can also be increased when women have irregular periods.

In effect, this tests is actually a simple home menopause test. As menopause gets nearer the levels get particularly high and can work as an early warning signal for peri-menopause.

How A Female Fertility Test Works

The FertilCheck Female Fertility Test is designed to indicate increased levels of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) in urine. Higher levels of this particular hormone are often an indication of reduced ovarian reserve.

The test is a simple, at home test that enables women to check their fertility potential privately and discreetly, without the need for a visit to a doctor or clinic.

What’s in The Box?

When you purchase the Babystart FertilCheck kit, you get two midstream fertility tests in a box, complete with instructions. The tests themselves are simple enough. simply remove one test from the wrapper, pee on it, and then wait for the results to appear. The second test can then be taken at a later date for confirmation of the first reading.

New Babystart FertilCheck packaging

Along with the rest of the Babystart fertility range, the packing for this range has recently been refreshed. Previously all Babystart products came in a distinctive green livery. If you do come across any products that are still in this green packaging, you may want to avoid buying them, no mater how cheap. This is because you will be buying older stock which is near the end of it’s shelf life.
