With Babystart FertilCare there is no longer a need to purchase complicated and expensive combinations of vitamins and minerals. Just 1 tablet a day provides safe levels of essential nutrients for conception and beyond. This pack contains 30 tablets, which is enough for one month’s usage.

Babystart FertilCare has been formulated to provide a single, unique nutritional supplement for use by women when planning a pregnancy. The ingredients have been carefully selected and are used in moderate safe levels according to EU standards. The formulation contains no herbals, only pure scientifically proven compounds with known effects giving Babystart FertilCare a high “quality” status. Only those ingredients known to especially benefit fertility, conception and pregnancy are included. It has also been carefully formulated to help safeguard dietary requirements as soon as you start trying to conceive and contains essential vitamin B12, folic acid and zinc for neural tube development and cell division early in pregnancy. Babystart FertilCare should then continue to be taken during pregnancy as research has shown that even with a good diet, extra nutrients may be required throughout the whole pregnancy.

B6, zinc, selenium and magnesium help address specific deficiencies that are known to impair fertility. Vitamins E and C are antioxidants that improve overall reproductive health. L-Arginine helps to stimulate the reproductive organs in women by improving circulation. A lot of interest has been created by recent research suggesting that L-Arginine improves female libido. This could be useful for the pre-conceptual couple.

FertilCare FAQ

1. How long should I take FertilCare for?
You can start taking FertilCare as soon as you know you are planning to have a baby, ideally at least 3 months before you are planning to become pregnant. You can then continue to take FertilCare throughout your pregnancy.

2. Can I take this as well as folic acid?
No. FertilCare already contains 400µg of folic acid as recommended by the Department of Health, so this is not something we would advise without first speaking with your doctor. Some women may need a higher dose of folic acid, which may be as much as 5mg (or 5000µg) but you should only take higher doses when specifically prescribed by your doctor.

3. Is FertilCare suitable for vegetarians?
Yes, you can take FertilCare if you are vegetarian.

4. Is it ok to take FertilCare with other medicines?
We would advise checking with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any dietary supplement alongside other medication. FertilCare contains vitamin K, which is an important vitamin to include in your diet and is involved with helping your blood to clot to stop you bleeding. If you are taking any anticoagulant medication (blood thinning tablets) then you should not take FertilCare without first talking to your doctor.

I like these tablets so far as they are so easy to swallow. I’m not pregnant yet but it’s early days, so fingers crossed!

I actually prefer these and they are a bit cheaper than Pregnacare Conception.
